Explore the Les chutes de Karera / Karera waterfalls. Situated in Rutana province, the falls comprise of four breathtaking falls. They are located just 3 km from the capital area of Shanga zone in Musongati municipality, covering a protected area of 142 ha.

The four falls in Karera are fed by a section from River Mwaro flowing into Karera River from the west.

Apart from the falls, this place is famous for floral diversity and gigantic trees like Neutonia buchananii encircled by lush savanna vegetation comprised of Pericopsis angolensis and Parinari curatellifolia but with lots of bird species.
